Accommodation Support Officer

BDS are currently recruiting for a Accommodation Support Officer to work with vulnerable adults based in Peterborough.

The role will be working with services users in custody and recently released, ensure delivery of effective interventions and stakeholder liaison in custody and in the community in order to support male participants throughout the region to address their housing needs and reduce their likelihood of reoffending.

Duties include but are not limited too;
- Work in close partnership with probation practitioners in order to understand and respond to the specific and diverse housing needs of the participants.
- Engage with actual and potential referral agencies, authorities and organisations including statutory and third sector agencies and where appropriate the community in order to facilitate relevant referrals to programmes / activities / services as required.
- Carry out timely initial face to face housing assessments taking account of risk situation and need in order to facilitate any appropriate actions and outcomes
- Construct an effective accommodation plan based on an initial assessment of the participants needs and abilities delivered through an agreed number of interventions based on participant need. The progress and outcomes delivered should be responsive, accurate and timely and recorded using the Authority case management system to ensure probation practitioners are aware of any contact and progress

Location: Remote working, managing cases from HMP Peterborough. Travel around local area required when necessary to attend meetings and participant appointments.

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Contract: 3 months temp contract, with the potential to extend/go perm

We're offering a competitive salary of **£19,841 - £24,801** per annum (dependent on experience)

**Salary**: £19,841.00-£24,801.00 per year
