Alexander Lloyd are exclusively partnering with a leading Travel organisation based near Gatwick who are looking to recruit a Qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Accountant. This role will ideally suit someone making the first move from practice or alternativelypractice trained with industry exposure looking for their next step.

They operate a hybrid working police of 2 days in the office per week.

This role is due to their continued growth in the UK marketplace.

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified from a Top 10 accounting firm, looking to make the first move into industry from practice (or 2nd move if you are seeking a new role in industry). The role will report d into the FC and have significant exposure across thegroup

Responsibilities include:

- Plan and control the day-to-day activities of the section to ensure that all deadlines are achieved and that the information produced is both complete and accurate.
- Coordinate and complete the month-end accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts, own the close process.
- Ensuring accurate and timely period end accounting for the organisation including completion of balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare general journal entries in accordance with department policy, including monthly and yearly adjustments.
- Coordinate with Finance Business Partners and stakeholders quarterly trading forecasts
- Support transformation and process improvements such as system enhancements, automation, leveraging technology where possible

You must have strong technical accounting knowledge and an enthusiastic attitude to want to develop and learn new skills.

Key skill set:

- ACA/ACCA Qualified - Practice trained
- Strong financial accounting knowledge
- Up to date FRS102 experience
- Strong communication skills
- First move from a Top 10 practice or practice trained with industry exposure.
