We are dedicated to quality, consistency, and exceptional service. We're looking for a motivated Dispatch Supervisor to join our team to ensure our products reach our customers in perfect condition.

**Main Purpose of the Job**:
As the Dispatch Supervisor, you will oversee the packing area, freezer, warehouse, and manage all goods in/out operations. You will lead the packing/dispatch team (currently 3 team members, but this will be growing over the next few years), ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Management & Training**:

- Lead by example, motivate your team, and maintain a positive working environment.
- Train new team members and provide refresher training as needed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and probationary reviews.
- Communicate effectively with the Bakery Manager, Bakery Supervisor and Technical Assistant to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold company procedures and implement process improvements.

**Purchasing**:

- Manage stock levels of packaging, cleaning supplies, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Ensure timely reordering to maintain minimum stock levels and avoid shortages.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.

**Health & Safety**:

- Serve as an on-site Fire Marshall (full training will be provided).
- Follow all health & safety procedures and report any non-conformances to the relevant departments.

**Goods In**:

- Inspect delivery vehicles and received goods for quality and compliance.
- Manage goods in paperwork.
- Document any shortfalls or returns.
- Properly store all ingredients & packaging.
- Manage high-risk product segregation and stock rotation.
- Forklift truck driving (full training will be provided).

**Goods Out**:

- Arrange and check paperwork for outgoing goods.
- Ensure all outgoing deliveries are packed and loaded properly.
- Forklift truck and van maintenance checks.
- Oversee the Too Good to Go programme.
- Utilise transportation management systems to track and manage deliveries.
- Loading pallets onto vehicles using the forklift truck.

**Cutting & Packing**:

- Supervise the packing team, ensuring high standards in packing, labelling, and storage.
- Follow and implement company quality procedures.
- Complete daily checks and maintain a clean, organised packing area.
- Conduct metal detector checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.

**Warehouse/Freezer**:

- Keep stock organised and tidy, ensuring stock rotation is always followed.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed.

**Organisation & Admin**:

- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in audit preparations and maintain comprehensive product and procedure documentation.

**Premises**:

- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks.
- Report any non-conformances and complete actions from GEMBA walks.

**What We Require**
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience, ideally within a dispatch or warehouse department.
- We’re looking for a strong and confident leader with great communication skills and someone who can motivate and drive a happy team.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
- A systems orientated person, who can multitask and juggle a busy workload.
- An excellent organiser.
- Someone with high standards, and a good eye for detail.
- Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

**Salary**

Starting salary £27,601, with potential for progression up a tiered pay scale.

**Job Type**

Permanent, full time. Monday to Friday 7.30am until 4pm.
