We currently have an interesting opportunity for a **Scheme Officer **to join our team covering our Housing for Older People Schemes in the Southampton area of Hampshire. Your office base will be in Christchurch, but you'll manage your own diary and will predominantly be working from home or onsite. You will be an integral part of ensuring our neighbourhoods stay in excellent condition, whilst listening to our residents needs and implementing changes where needed.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring that our schemes are kept in good order and provide an environment that is safe and enjoyable where our residents want to live
- To liaise between tenants, internal and external contractors, and housing and property teams
- Managing a programme of routine checks to the internal and external communal areas and raise works orders for work that is the responsibility of our Property Team
- Responding to changing regulatory & statutory legislation and external requirements e.g. The Charter for Social Housing Residents: Social Housing White Paper
- Helping to fulfil our landlord responsibilities and taking a pro-active approach to health & safety and compliance
- Working with our customers to ensure they have successful tenancies
- Identifying and implementing estate improvement works

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Previous experience of working with older people or residents in a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential
- An understanding of the importance of building safety and compliance
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Strong administration skills
- Experience of using computer systems, for example Microsoft Office
- The ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies
