**The Role - Construction Buyer**

We are seeking an Experienced Buyer with a Construction background to join our fast paced purchasing department.

Working in the Purchasing Department you will be responsible for ensuring that the materials required for our construction projects are provided to schedule and according to projected budgets.

**The daily duties of the Construction Buyer include**:

- Procurement and scheduling of products, materials, plant and equipment.
- Ensuring purchases offer best value.
- Monitoring and reporting of price increases.
- Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveries.
- Arranging the return of nonconforming products.
- Maintaining and developing the supply chain.
- Identification of new products.
- Inventory management and the control of goods in and out.
- Processing of purchase ledger and inventory management records.
- Working closely with Estimating, Contracts and Warehouse Departments.

**The successful Construction Buyer will**:

- Have a background in construction; experience in construction buying an advantage.
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Be numerate with excellent administration and IT skills.
- Be an enthusiastic and proactive team player.
- Have excellent attention to detail with pride in their work.
- Be selfdisciplined and have excellent time keeping.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
