Bike Assist Legal is a fast growing, innovative Legal Practice based in Egham, Surrey. Established 3 years ago we now have a team of 40+ staff and due to continued demand are still growing. Both hybrid and fully remote positions are available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage your own caseload of motorcycle credit hire claims through to settlement, or as required prepare and refer cases for litigation
- Argue liability, prepare witness statements, carry out case law research and liaise with the instructing party and the Claimant motorcyclist.
- Proactively progress your caseload ensuring professionality, timely and balanced legal advice where appropriate and regular client contact.
- Liaise with third parties such as, insurers to ensure that cases are progressed to the right outcome, be that settlement or litigation.
- Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.

**About you**:

- Come from a background of dealing with credit hire claims, you will understand the principles of need, rate, period, mitigation, impecuniosity, enforceability along with an understanding of the ABI GTA arrangements.
- Ideally dealt with motorcycle claims but any credit hire/claims handling experience, especially in civil claims, for a solicitor, legal firm or an insurance company.
- Good sound judgement, technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills; written and spoken.
- Able to organize and prioritize a day’s work.
- Competent in working with a claims/case management system.
- Have a good knowledge of MS Office including Outlook.

**Desirable**:

- 1 to 2 years’ experience of handling RTA Motorcycle litigated/Pre-Litigation cases
- A solicitor or a Member/Fellow of CILEx or working towards completing.
- Experience in personal injury and/or liability would be helpful but not essential.
- Team player
- Self-motivated ability to use own initiative
- Resilient and able to deal with fast paced challenging and changing environment whilst still achieving objectives.
- Passionate about developing a career in credit hire.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus scheme
- Performance bonus

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
