**Senior Quantity Surveyor**

Fawkes & Reece are working alongside a 5* national house builder with requirements for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor in Leicestershire.

With new developments across the East Midlands, our client is seeking a well-rounded and enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor with a personable nature and adaptive approach.

Our client maintains their position amongst the Top-10 House builders in the UK through their passion for excellence and the investment in their people.

You will be responsible for maintaining multiple projects concurrently, determining work priority and maintaining schedules in addition to supporting junior team members in their growth and development. Whilst following each project from inception throughto completion you will pool commercial department resources and report directly to the commercial manager.

**Responsibilities;**
- Supervise junior team members in the production of financial forecasts and cost control of numerous projects simultaneously
- Provide a point of liaison between construction, land, development and commercial teams in reporting project progression from pre-construction through to completion
- Overview and approve contract drawings to proactively identify errors in a timely manner
- Receive, record, prepare and distribute relevant documentation such as design packages, initial tenders and labour procurement
- Actively monitor recruitment of junior commercial team members
- Procurement and preparation of external labour
- Provide cost analysis and consultation from pre tender and following through completion and reflection

**Skills and experience**
- Senior Quantity Surveyor experience or, 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a house builder
- You must have a HND/HNC in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- IT competency
