Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, loading, and unloading goods
- Assisting with regular stock takes to help maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure delivered goods are checked, signed for, and put away correctly. The relevant administration must then be completed (goods booked in and recorded against outstanding orders), with any discrepancies communicated to relevant members of staff
- Allocate available stock to outstanding orders, creating customer delivery notes, and pick goods against the customer delivery note - then dispatch via a pallet, carrier, post, or our own vehicles, dependent on weight, bulk and locality.
- Load the vehicles for the next round of delivery runs, ensuring the appropriate vehicles are used dependent on weight and bulk of the total dispatch.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and organised at all times
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage
- Operate forklifts for moving stock within the warehouse
- Load and unload lorries with precision
- Supporting management on shift - you will be lead the day to day administration required for when the warehouse manager is off

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical duties throughout the day
- Attention to detail and organisation skills
- Able to work independently but also with others
- Valid forklift licence is desirable
- Great communication
- Willing to get stuck into anything and learn new skills (most crucial in an SME business)
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock efficiently
