An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Advisor within the Wellbeing and Inclusion Team at NHS Business Services Authority.

You’ll understand the challenges and barriers faced and take an empathetic approach to providing support, problem solving and developing initiatives to achieve wellbeing and inclusion aspirations.

Some examples include;
- supporting colleagues in an empathic and compassionate manner; providing specialist advice and guidance relating to wellbeing and inclusion matters
- engagement and campaign management
- supporting design and delivery of training
- working with data to create reports and make recommendations for change
- responsibility for creation and maintenance of various processes such as accessibility and workplace adjustments
- role modelling the values of the team and wider organisation
The location of this role is flexible, but please note the requirement for travel to our Newcastle office on a minimum basis of once per month.

**In this role, you are accountable for**:
1. Supporting the Diversity and Inclusion Manager and the Wellbeing Manager in the delivery of relevant strategies, across all aspects of inclusion
2. Monitoring and evaluating diversity and inclusion programmes in support of the wider business strategy and corporate objectives
3. Ensuring compliance with all statutory and mandatory requirements for diversity and inclusion generally.
4. Supporting the NHSBSA’s participation in and submissions for a range of annual performance benchmarking standards including the NHS Workforce Disability Equality Standard and Race Equality Standard, Disability Confident and the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) TIDE amongst others, and supporting the delivery of relevant action plans to maintain and improve upon the outcomes
5. Providing specialist advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across the organisation on all aspects of diversity and inclusion, signposting and escalating urgent/complex queries requiring specialist advice where required.
6. Supporting the creation and roll out of diversity and inclusion delivery plans; analysis of workforce data and use of external benchmarking to inform our work
7. Supporting the Colleague Networks including jointly chairing some of the networks and working closely with the various Network Co-Chairs to co-ordinate activity across the networks and overseeing their annual programmes of work, ensuring that this supports delivery of the wellbeing and inclusion strategies, and wider business strategy.
8. Advising on the various network’s annual programmes of campaigns and events, working closely with the Communications and Marketing team to develop a wide range of internal and external communications and engagement pieces which increase colleague awareness and understanding, and raise the profile of the NHSBSA through external promotion with a wide range of stakeholders.
