**Job Title**: Accounts Payable Clerk
**Location**: Crewe
**Reports To**: Accounts Payable Manager / Finance Manager

**Job Type**: Full Time 37.5 hours

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process high-volume supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to verify correct billing.
- Obtain necessary approvals for payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and checks.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an **Accounts Payable Clerk** or in a similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

**Education & Experience**:

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,500.00 per year
