**About the Role**

We are currently looking for a **Finance Officer** to join our growing business. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career — combining hands-on accounting responsibilities with project-based financial support.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting the finance and project teams, and helping us shape strong financial foundations for our next phase of growth. This role also has the potential to grow into a more senior role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily financial operations, including transaction tracking, invoicing, freelancer payments, expenses, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage internal expenses, credit cards, overhead expenditure, and handle payments, bills, and contract renewals.
- Monitor bank deposits and financial records, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely reconciliation.
- **Project Budget Management**: Manage and monitor project budgets by tracking costs, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis using financial software and internal processes.
- **Project Financial Support**: Provide regular financial reporting to support decision-making and project tracking. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to deliver financial insights, reports, and recommendations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project accounting and financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards, financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and organise financial files, documentation, and records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Support the development and implementation of finance-related policies, processes, and tools.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience in a finance-related role — ideally as a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, or similar and is now looking to step up and broaden their skills. Experience in an events environment would be a valuable advantage.
- **Part-qualified or qualified accountant** (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) — or equivalent hands-on experience in project finance and operations.
- Confident user of **Xero** accounting software, with the ability to manage day-to-day financial tasks efficiently is essential.
- Comfortable working with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Google Sheets/Excel, for data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and project accounting best practices coupled with strong analytical and organisational skills — with the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping a keen eye on detail.
- A natural team player who collaborates well across departments and is comfortable working at pace, in a creative, lively, and sometimes noisy environment — Flexibility in the working day is required due to frequent communication with our finance team in Orlando, Florida.
- Clear communicator who can make financial information accessible and understandable for non-finance colleagues.
