We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our friendly and dedicated finance team. 30 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days. Ideally, you will hold an accountancy qualification or have a strong background in financial management. Experience of working in an educational environment would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful person will report directly to the Head of Finance. As a Finance Officer, you will be a confident communicator and enjoy working collaboratively. You will have excellent IT skills, good attention to detail, be proactive and used to working in a busy environment. Responsibilities Accurate and efficient running of day‑to‑day financial processes and systemsPlacing orders, processing invoices and dealing with ad hoc finance queriesEnsuring that robust financial processes are followed, in line with the school’s Finance Policy and that ‘best value’ is obtainedMonth‑end reconciliations and reportsCash managementManagement of trips finance and reconciliationsSupporting the Head of Finance with monthly budget monitoring and annual financial audits Qualifications • Accountancy qualification or strong background in financial management• Experience working in an educational environment (advantage but not essential)• Excellent IT skills and attention to detail• Ability to work in a busy environment and be proactive Benefits Friendly and harmonious campus, support for physical and mental wellbeing, discounted membership to on‑site gym and local leisure centres, free onsite parking, Employee Advice Programme, reward for long service, community spirit and staff involvement, tea and freshly brewed coffee in the staff room.
