We are seeking to complement our existing team based in Exeter with the appointment of a Trainee Sales Executive. **The Trainee Sales Executive role**
We are seeking to invest in a trainee sales executive who we can develop to flourish within our business. You will be managing and developing a portfolio of existing regional customer accounts, whilst also focussing upon targeting and winning new customers.You will benefit from plenty of support and encouragement from day one, including a dedicated mentor, extensive training including product knowledge and learning sales process best practice via a formal national ‘level 4’ sales qualification. The ultimateplan will be for you to grow your own territory, reap the rewards and eventually become a fully-fledged sales executive in charge of an established territory at the end of your first year (if not sooner) Please note that much of your first year will be spentinternally, learning our business, customers, processes etc, but as you steadily go more out into the field, a company vehicle will be made available to you.
**Trainee Sales Executive Key Duties**:
- Act as the lead point of contact for your allocated regional customer portfolio, delivering excellent standards of customer service at all times
- Build & maintain key decision-maker/stakeholder relationships within customer accounts, executing an effective call-plan to undertake regular customer review meetings
- Identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities and promote new solutions and maximise account spend
- Pro-actively grow customer base via identification & targeting of new prospect accounts to meet ‘new business’ sales targets
**Do you have the correct profile?**
You will ideally already have a minimum of 1 year’s B2B sales experience. This may well be within an internal/inside sales role whereby you would like to now move into field sales. As this is an external sales role, you must hold a valid UK driving licence.You will already have a firm grasp of the ‘sales process’, ideally having enjoyed exposure to elements of both account management and new business/client acquisition. You will be inquisitive by nature, intelligent, articulate, well presented and able to effectivelyplan ahead. Above all else, you must have a strong desire to dedicate yourself to the sales professionwe are looking for people who want a proper career path and not simply another job.
