**Here’s why you’ll love this role**

You will be supporting the planning team of Planners to deliver the following -Gathering information by physical surveys to produce network design packs
- Use the GE Smallworld PNI and Comsof tools to create high and low level designs
- Ownership of network design from survey to design to build and into maintenance.
- Undertaking feasibility studies and calculating budget and/or detailed estimates to assess the financial and engineering viability of planned solutions.
- Developing optimal civil/cabling engineering solutions (challenging established principles and taking a flexible approach) in response to company requirements.
- Going out into the field to carry out joint validation surveys with contractors to establish the most effective trench route and cab locations (based on cost, practicality and H&S etc)

**Here’s why you’ll be great in this role**
- Ideally you have a background in telecoms industry or planning
- Ability to understand fibre designs, wither through a technical career background or through personal experience / knowledge
- Methodical approach
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a small team and sometimes ambiguous or fluid environments.
- Strong knowliedge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc. Ideally CAD or GIS
