Care Worker

We are currently looking for a carer to do night shifts in a lovely home with an elderly couple. Timings are 8pm till 11am, shifts are available Monday-Sunday, you can choose which shifts you are able to do.
This includes helping them into bed and assisting with breakfast in the morning.
**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to clients, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with meal preparation and ensure they receive proper nutrition.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer first aid as required and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation.
- Provide specialised support for individuals with dementia, adapting care approaches to meet their unique needs.
**Skills**
- Experience in home care or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dementia care practices and techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Proficient in first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in various situations.
