We currently have an opportunity in our Portering Services Department for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work in our Stores dept within Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

The post holder will respond to requests for the movement of goods in an appropriate and timely manner to provide a comprehensive and efficient service. This will involve the lifting, transferring, pushing and pulling of substantial weight with the assistance of mechanical aids where a risk assessment has identified the need to use them these may include sack and pallet trucks, driven and hand held tugs.

We are offering permanent contract of employment for the following post:
x 1 Part time post (30 hours a week) - working 5 days per week Mon-Fri 08.30-15.00

Rates of pay are £11.62 per hour.

Portering Services provides essential support to all areas of the hospital. The porter will be expected to react to the various challenges within the working environment, and the workload may be increased due to external influences including the environment, weather, patient capacity etc. The porter will work as part of a team contributing to the smooth running of the parcel's receiving department. Whilst many of the tasks are generally routine the daily functioning of the service may be unpredictable therefore a flexible approach is essential and the post holder will be expected to use own initiative.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
