24 Hour Porter

We currently have an opportunity in our Portering Services Department for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within the Wrexham Maelor Hospital ED Department.The post holder will respond to requests for the movement of patients and goods in an appropriate and timely manner to provide a comprehensive and efficient service. This will involve the lifting, transferring, pushing and pulling of substantial weight with the assistance of mechanical aids where a risk assessment has identified the need to use them these may include mechanical movers, stairwell climbers.The Health Board offers excellent working conditions including a generous entitlement of paid holiday, enhanced pay for weekend working and an opportunity to join the Superannuation Pension Scheme.We are offering a permanent contract of employment for the following post:1 Part time post (15 hours a week) - working 2 days per week on a 24hr rota to include nights, weekends and bank holidays.This is a physically demanding role.
