**Position Overview**: We're looking to grow our front of house team by appointing an enthusiastic and customer-focused team player who’ll welcome our guests and make sure that they have an enjoyable experience so that they keep coming back As part of our Front of House team, you'll be responsible for smiling (a lot) and providing exceptional customer service, ensuring efficient operations, as well as contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of a clean and well organized environment throughout the day.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome customers warmly, help seat them and explain how to order - this is the crucial the first step towards creating a fantastic first impression that’ll keep them coming back for more. Excellent communication skills are an absolute must.
- Provide a slick and efficient service, take orders and payments, assist in the preparation of a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and soft drinks along with a range of alcoholic beverages*.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items (including ingredients, allergens, etc), daily specials, and promotions.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, using the POS system.
- Drive sales by upselling products and highlighting promotions.
- Support the chefs and kitchen team by delivering food and drink orders promptly and keep the tables looking fresh and uncluttered, adhering to 5*EHO quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized front of house area, including tables, counters, and seating areas and keep the food prep and clean up areas clean and clutter-free.
- Ensure a pleasant dining experience that keeps customers coming back for more.
- Attend to customer enquiries, concerns, and feedback in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the cafe bar each day, including cleaning and restocking.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist in planning, organizing and delivery of special events eg, themed nights.

*as a licensed venue, our team must meet the legal UK age requirements to serve alcohol.

**Qualifications & skills**:

- **Previous experience**in a customer-facing role in the hospitality industry is a deal breaker.
- Previous experience in a high quality, table service environment would be a definite advantage.
- **Personality**is also key - you’ll need a positive attitude, a team-oriented mindset, a great sense of humour, an infectious smile and the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service is a must.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to work well under pressure and handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of coffee and experience serving alcoholic beverages is a plus.
- **Flexibility**to work varying shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings.
- Food hygiene certification is desirable but not essential (training provided).

**Pay**: NMW rates apply. Age 16-17 £7.55/hr; Age 18-20 £10.00/hr; Age 21+ £12.21/hr
