**WHAT TO EXPECT**

The finance team at JLR are a dynamic and wide-reaching team providing all-round financial support for our operational business partners across a number of business functions.

As well as providing financial control, the finance team acts as a key business partner to functional teams ensuring that we achieve financial targets, drive profitable growth and add value through the decisions we make.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Partner the operational teams to create budgets and/or targets which are containable within the overall strategic plan. Ensure all spend has robust business cases and hold business partners accountable for delivering against their commitments
- Work with business partners to deliver against financial targets pragmatically. Flexibility is required to reprioritise spend to reflect latest production/ market conditions
- Conduct root cause analysis of variances and overseeing course correction
- Deliver finance solutions to support the strategic direction of the business while ensuring the Finance strategy/approach is aligned across the business unit
- Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver finance strategies / initiatives
- Develop strong working relationships with functional business partners
- Calculate finance sensitivities understanding key value levers and use financial analytics to identify opportunities to improve business performance. Managing risks and opportunities of programmes
- Preparing business cases and validating inputs with operational stakeholders and recommending next steps and actions
- Set individual objectives, conduct regular coaching and performance management reviews and address issues where required
- Presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders across the business
- Resolving customer issues and concerns through effective cross functional team networking
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

You’ll be a self-directed, proactive, resilient individual, with a strong business acumen, good communication skills and an appetite for continuous professional and personal development. You’ll also need:
Essential:

- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner role gained at a similar level
- Sound financial and commercial business insight
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to both Finance and non-Finance customers
- Comfortable challenging, influencing and presenting to senior management
- The ability to work at pace within a complex matrix structure and an agile workplace
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
- Identifying and delivering process improvements
- Leading and developing a team of analysts
- To demonstrate a continuous improvement mind set with the ability to identify and implement solutions and enhancements

Desirable:

- Previous experience of Budget and Forecast Preparation
- Knowledge of SAP
- Other MS Office tools (Powerpoint, Word, Access)
- Supervisory skills
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA or similar)
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience
