An opportunity has arisen for a Support Medical Secretary to join our busy secretarial team within the Medical Division.
You will be based within the Cardiology Secretarial Team, however, this role could require an adaptable approach as you may be asked to support various parts of the Division. This role is working alongside a team of 4 medical secretaries, currently supporting a substantial workforce of over 7 Consultants, Nurse Consultant and a team of Heart Failure Specialist nurses.
Excellent communication, organisational and secretarial abilities are essential to the role.
You will responsible for maintaining patients’ records, processing incoming and outgoing correspondence, producing correspondence from audio/copy and dealing with telephone calls. In addition, you will liaise with Consultants, other Trust staff, and organisations outside of the department in order to resolve queries. You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
Experience is desirable however not essential.
