**Management Accountant - Cardiff**

**Salary up to £38,000 DOE + Benefits**

A newly created opportunity has arisen on the outskirts of Cardiff for a hard working and technically minded Accountant. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work for a major household named organisation based in the Welsh Capital. Reporting and workingclosely with the Financial Controller you will be required to provide a professional and timely accounting service and deal with the preparation and submission of the monthly management accounts for this award winning multi-sited business. You will be responsiblefor a number of highly prestigious sites, where you will provide advice, guidance and financial support to the business.

**Responsibilities will include**:
1) Assist with the production of the month end management accounts packs across all group companies

2) Investigation of variances against budgets

3) Preparation of the annual budget

4) Cost analysis and reporting

5) Sales forecasting

6) Analysis of sales and reporting

7) Profit and loss forecasts

8) Assist with the budgets and year-end

9) Ad hoc investigations into business cost drivers

10) Look at ways to drive efficiencies and process improvement within the department

**Person Specification**:
1) Proactive in approach, works well on their own initiative and has a 'can do’ attitude to getting things done

2) The ability to understand complex financial information and explain this to non-finance colleagues is also key for the post

3) This is an analytical role, so you will enjoy delving into the detail

4) Intermediate Excel skills -essential
