South East England, United Kingdom b3 jobs ltd Full time

**Coffee Quality Specialist**

£30,000 to £35,000
South East UK
Job ref: 8376

**The company**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global, market-leading business which supplies some of the world’s top companies in the retail, hospitality, and foodservice markets.

The business is currently expanding and is committed to continually redefining its range and prides itself on developing and bringing innovative new products to market.

**About the Coffee Quality Specialist job**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business in a crucial role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day blend conformity of the roasting profile, grinding and moisture standards to achieve optimal results and a superior product.

You will ensure the product is to the highest standards in order to delight customers and retain the company’s reputation as a premium quality coffee producer.

**Key tasks**
- Evaluate the quality of raw materials and finished products by preparing daily coffee cupping tables with appropriate grading methods.
- Produce timely structured feedback on any non-conformities concerning taste or quality.
- Provide support and feedback to NPD requests regarding new coffee blend creation (create roasting blends and roast profiles for new products).
- Liaise with customers regarding their new product needs and lead customer coffee tasting experiences on-site, promoting the best possible coffee quality from green coffee selection to optimising blends.
- Develop strong working relationships across the business, including the company buying team in Europe, and the Coffee Quality Assurance team, offering training and support.

**About You**

To say you need coffee experience is an understatement - you will be a complete expert in all things coffee including roasting, brewing, tasting, evaluation, and the product development process.

You will have an excellent eye (and taste) for quality - being able to determine what makes a great coffee and be able to translate customer requirements into new products to meet consumer trends.

This role could suit someone from a similar role from a coffee manufacturer who is looking for progression and develop their coffee specialist career, or perhaps you are an experienced Barista from an artisan coffee start-up and looking to take your skillsand knowledge to the next level.

You will have a flexible approach, be an excellent communicator plus be knowledgeable of coffee cupping and grading, with a proven palate.

If this sounds like you, and you are excited to take on a new challenge (with also the opportunity to travel in the UK/Europe on occasion) then we would love to hear from you.

**More details**

The Coffee Quality Specialist job is based in the South East UK region and is paying £30,000 to £35,000 according to your experience.

The package includes Pension, Employee Assistance Program, Life Insurance, 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays plus other company benefits.
