This commercial position is a key role in finance but also the surrounding business. As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, lookingto make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up **Key Aspects of the role** - Monitoring receivable income and supporting project managers with collections. - Continuously seeking, implementing and documenting ways of developing the management accounting and reporting systems with a view to improving the quality and timeliness of management information. - Regular review of budgets and reforecast of outcomes. - Maintenance and updating of the Product costing spreadsheets. - Manage the preparation of business information and the provision of advice for key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and to support decision making, business planning and effective financial management. - Implement and maintain the accurate and complete financial records, control systems and policies to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met including the effective management of supporting processes. - To support the development and monitoring of financial systems and processes to safeguard the organisations financial interests ensuring accurate, useful and timely reporting in support of company objectives - Key Business Partner to the business and a member of the leadership team - Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices, procedures and controls. - Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries. - Ensure month end closure in a timely and accurate basis, produce variance analysis, managing the P&L, producing budgets and forecasts, producing cost and benefit analysis - Developing financial, commercial, and business models - Budgeting and forecasting. - Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board. - Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors. - Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout. - Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts. - Responsible for payroll, VAT, HMRC, tax and audit processes. - Assist in the management of the review, development, implementation and monitoring of systems to ensure a robust control environment is maintained to safeguard the organisations interests. - Develop and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders, ensuring issues and shortfalls are addressed and remedied in order to ensure the delivery of high standards of customer care. - Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives **Required skills** - Strong technical accounting knowledge - Excel and modelling - Creating statutory accounts - Ability to delegate and manage the work of others - Experience of AP and AR - Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - Produced budgets up to multi-millions - Experience running annual audit - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders - Experience of identifying, reviewing and evaluating each new business opportunity. - Passionate about the renewable sector - Highly organised. - Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a "can-do" personality. - Exceptional attention to detail. - Committed to delivering excellent standards at all times. - Flexible and able to be responsive and react to change and prioritise accordingly. - Willing to work flexible and additional hours as necessary to fulfil the demands of the role. - You will ideally be a graduate with excellent financial, commercial and business development experience. - Must be a self-starter, highly organised, and able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
