The Early Intervention in Psychosis service in Buckinghamshire is a well-established, service providing multidisciplinary team working for all those experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We are a clinical academic service, working alongside researchers from the University of Oxford and Oxford Cognitive Approaches to Psychosis (OCAP). We are at the forefront of undertaking research in the area of early psychosis to better understand the causes of psychosis and the most effective treatments and are then able to directly implement these findings into practice, for the benefit of patients.
We have developed our service to provide high quality NICE recommended interventions. Successful applicants will join a team of experienced and motivated clinicians who work to provide the best service possible to both clients and carers. Successful applicants will have to demonstrate not only their experience, but also motivation, enthusiasm, flexibility, willingness to learn and an ability to engage and empathise at a variety of levels.
We offer a supportive, friendly and enthusiastic environment that will work with the successful person to develop personally and professionally and have an excellent track record of supporting our assistants onto the next step in their career. There are great CPD opportunities, such as training in family interventions for psychosis.
We are seeking a Senior Psychology Assistant in the Bucks Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. Due to the complexity of the work, we are looking for applicants withprevious experienceworking in mental health following completion of their psychology degree.
