**We have an excellent opportunity for Associate Lecturers for the following modules**:

- Writing Workshop
- Genres
- Fiction Workshop: the Contemporary Novel
- Introduction to Screenwriting
- Essentials of Stage & Screen

These are modules on Birkbeck’s BA Creative Writing and its BA Creative Writing. Some include elements of lecture/ seminar work while others focus on workshopping practice.
- detailed knowledge and understanding of the craft of fiction and/or genre and/or screen/scriptwriting
- experience of either /both BA and MA level teaching in Creative Writing

**Remuneration**

Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £63.55 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 spine 31 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
