**Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for an Energy Surveyor/ Project Manager to work with one of our Local Authority clients in Kent.**

**What the job will be doing**
- To act as the Energy Surveyor & Clerk of Works (COW) in developing and delivering the Wave 1 Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) programme, from inception to settlement of the final account, for the energy efficiency measures improvements of theCouncil’s housing stock.
- To ensure best value is obtained through the appropriate specification, procurement and management of contractors and consultants delivering the Wave 1 SHDF programme of work.
- To ensure that all BEIS KPIs and targets are met via effective management of contractors and/or internal colleagues.
- To exercise expert knowledge in the management of contracts, responding to notices, leading contract meeting, including engagement with tenants and elected members.
- To support of the Council’s commitment to meet the legislative requirements under the Climate change Act (as amended 2019), and the Council’s wider Net Zero Carbon targets.
- To provide information, advice and support for tenants of FHDC who’s homes are affected by the retrofitting of carbon reduction measures.
- To act as a point of contact for tenants, stakeholders and communities with regards to communicating, engaging and consulting with residents on all aspects of the SHDF programme.
- To work in line with the Housing Service Tenant Engagement Strategy 2021-24 Hearing our Tenants’ Voice, ensuring that all those living in council managed homes have the opportunity to input into service delivery consistent with regulatory requirements andindustry best practice.
- To provide surveying and COW expertise to the Project Manager SHDF and RLO/Administrator, ensuring that contractors and projects are monitored, including ensuring accurate data collection and providing reports for monthly & quarterly meetings.
- Liaise with contractors and installers employed to deliver the Wave 1 SHDF measures.
- Liaise with the PAS2035 Assessors, Designers and Coordinator.
- In line with the Carbon Reduction Strategy, ensure that tenants are supported and informed and that active behavioural change is promoted when returning to a home that has been retrofitted (or built) with new Carbon Reduction technology.
