**The Role** We are pleased to confirm we are currently seeking a driven, self-motivated and confident Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the North region, leading on a number of projects including planned maintenance, refurbishments and new builds for localauthority clients.

**The Project** As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will manage a team of Quantity Surveyors to ensure appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to in order to secure the company's full entitlement through the contracts. You and the team will control thecommercial aspects of the supply chain gearing maximum leverage and working seamlessly within the business to ensure Fortem's interests. Team work between the commercial team and the operations team is critical to ensure we are working collaboratively towardsa common goal.

**Essential And Desirable Criteria** Essential:
Contractor background preferred
Excellent data interrogation skills
Excellent Excel
QS degree or equivalent training
Contractual awareness
Negotiating skills
Ability to fully engage with all levels of employees
Desirable:
Experience of Management Accounts
Accounting skills
Excellent Access skills
Re-measurement skills
