Hotel and Events Coordinator

The White Lion is a refined Gastro Pub & exemplary Hotel situated within picturesque Cheshire countryside in the semi-rural village of Weston. The property is grade-II listed building and was originally built in 1652 as a farmhouse. It still retains its original charm and distinctive appearance, full of character adorned with part wooden panelled walls and bay windows. Here you can experience great food & drink and we pride ourselves on exemplary service and outstanding events. Our beautiful 17th-century building contains a private Function room that is the ideal intimate setting for any special event and can comfortably seat up to 45 guests and is licensed for Civil Ceremonies. We also have large garden with outdoor garden restaurant and bar perfect for those summer months and alfresco dining. With regular marquee bookings, we regularly have the function room and outdoor garden booked as a package, for the perfect and intimate private function.

**The Role**

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic **Hotel and Events Coordinator.** As the coordinator you will be the initial and key point of contact for all wedding, Corporate and special events enquiries, and they should be provided with a personalised response. You will produce correspondence on proposals and contracts and all associated paperwork all in line with company standards and guidelines. You will be proactive in selling and converting Wedding, corporate bookings, and special events for the business.

This is a dynamic role, suited to someone who may have existing or current experience in hotel guest booking role, who may be looking to expand their experience and take ownership. You will have previous experience of working to targets and converting enquiries into sales through your through your excellent listening and questioning skills.

**Duties include but will not be limited to**:

- sales - conduct wedding venue viewings, answer wedding & event enquiries, send brochures, take payments, process invoices and contracts
- Build relationships with wedding couples & event Customers through their planning process and work hard to ensure that they have their ideal event.
- To create detailed event schedules
- Working to help organise weekly live music, festive events including Easter, Bank holidays, Christmas etc.
- To help organise specific marketing events at The White Lion to showcase facilities
- Most importantly to work flexibly to manage and support the rest of The White Lion team to deliver excellent customer service and exceed expectations, accommodating the needs of the business.
- This role will report directly to the Hotel and Events manager, who will be responsible for being at each of the events. You are only required to work Monday to Friday as the main sales and administrative person, but training can be provided to work the events if desired.

- You must be committed to grow professionally and give your best
- A hands-on approach to managing with effective leadership skills and the ability to handle a faced paced environment
- You will need to be passionate about creating a great atmosphere and giving guests the best experience
