Transactional Service Delivery Manager

It is an exciting time to join the NHS SBS family and in particular the Transactional Procurement Team, as we embark on a period of transformation into an enhanced structure with new systems.

Our successful department is looking for a new Service Delivery Manager to lead, develop and empower the members of one of our Regionalised Transactional Procurement teams whilst providing an outstanding service to NHS organisations.

You will be responsible for your clients Procurement process, taking action to drive improvements and ensuring everything is run efficiently for our NHS clients. This is done by leading the team, monitoring and measuring their performance and providing guidanceon how they make improvements.

If you have procurement experience with a passion to improve customer experience or are experienced in leading large teams, perhaps in a call centre or shared service, with a focus on customer happiness and process efficiency we want you to apply.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Be responsible for a regionalised group of NHS organisations, with a dedicated team to support on transactional procurement delivery.
- Lead a successful team of 9 FTEs including a Team Leader - inspiring, developing and improving performance.
- Provide daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reporting on the performance of service delivery.
- Take the lead on Procurement project delivery relating to improvements to the service.
- Identify the need for service improvement initiatives as part of day-to-day service management, devising, presenting for approval and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Lead team management activities such as staff recognition and awards, recruitment, Great Place to Work initiatives and team meetings.

**What you’ll bring**:

- People management experience and proven leadership skills
- Extensive staff and service performance monitoring, measurement and reporting skills
- Relationship building skills and the ability to resolve difficult situations
- IT literate

**It would great if you had**:

- Previous experience in a leadership role within a procurement setting
- Knowledge of procurement / purchase-to-pay process
- Change management skills and qualifications
- CIPS
