Underwriting and Completions Consultant

What you will be doing:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers whilst maintaining quality with assessment of key underwriting and completions documents.

Your responsibilities will include
- Ensure that all enquiries and complex queries relating to Underwriting and Completions are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in accordance with the Bank’s service standards, policies and procedures and the UK Finance Mortgage Lenders Handbook for Conveyancers.
- Manage escalation calls from mortgage intermediaries and Solicitors.
- Liaise with underwriters and legal where necessary on complex policy decisions.
- Provide referral/ recommendations to Underwriters for offer approvals with rationale support.
- Identify any potentially fraudulent activity and escalate any concerns to Management or the appropriate person in line with procedure.

In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £24,000 - £25,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Could you be the one?:

- Previous customer services experience within a regulated environment (financial services, banking or utilities
- Strong knowledge in stakeholder management, hitting KPI’s and some experience of underwriting and completion documents (desirable)
