**The Opportunity**

The Scheduling and Dispatch team provide administrative assistance operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Business objectives. The team is dedicated to safe guarding life and property, and a fundamental element of the role is to ensure the delivery of the standards of service to around 11 million UK customers in our networks. You will play a key role in ensuring Cadent meets its regulatory standards and our customer objectives.

To provide a range of administrative tasks in the Scheduling to Dispatch team that contribute to Cadent’s overall business objectives. The Planning to Dispatch team provide essential support to engineers who attend customers properties, whether that be for a gas emergency, or planned work.

**What we ask of you**
- Create operational work orders and other associated administrative tasks to build the delivery plan
- Support the overall priority of work
- Co-ordinate work with other areas of the business and have a holistic view of all work required to be completed ‘on day’ and short to long term
- Assist in the administration of scheduling activities, in line with guidelines, procedures and training
- Assist in the delivery of training of new staff where appropriate to ensure consistency of approach and compliance with standard processes and procedures
- Participate in the measurement of individual and team objectives, to enable Network performance gaps to be identified and improved
- Be highly organised with attention to detail to ensure data assurance and be able to interrogate systems where required to obtain information to aid the job instructions and ensure completion is right first time
- Use strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Support and coach colleagues in order to achieve individual, team and departments goals and aspirations
- Adapt to changing priorities in response to business demands
- Work with optimum efficiency and compliance
- Deliver work efficiently and with precision within agreed processes, procedures and timescales
- Provide brilliant quality customer service to all internal and external stakeholders

You will possess the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:

- Verbal reasoning skills and the ability to articulate your findings and thoughts
- High standard of keyboard skills, with attention to detail
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office desktop packages
- Ability to use other core systems (SAP, ClickSoftware)
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work within a regulated environment (due to nature of Cadent’s business) and can follow defined procedures and policies
- Can use a logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities in response to business demands
