Vanquis Banking Group has a rich history dating back to 1880. The company was founded in Bradford by Joshua Kelley Waddilove as The Provident Clothing and Supply Company to help people access finance and goods who couldn’t from traditional lenders.

Vanquis Banking Group is a unified group made up of two brands: Vanquis (cards and loans) and Moneybarn (vehicle finance). **Role purpose**
To lead the digital product development and the digital product teams for Vanquis Bank Cards (including acquisition and servicing journeys).
**Key responsibilities**
- In partnership with key stakeholders across the organisation, create the future vision, strategy and objectives for our digital channels in Vanquis that solve real customer problems and drives customer and business success. This will include identifying opportunities based on deep customer insight and business objectives, creating business cases and seeking funding approval, design, build, implement digital solutions and ensure benefits are realised.
- Work closely with the Customer and Digital Director to define the future digital and customer strategy for Cards.
- Role model customer centricity through ensuring customer insight informs and is deeply embedded in our digital product development lifecycle.
- Demonstrate exemplary enterprise leadership across the organisation through working closely with key stakeholders to translate business objectives into the digital roadmap.
- Lead, motivate, manage and inspire a team of professional Product Owners and Product Managers.
- Conduct horizon scanning and market-sizing to create a compelling digital future for Vanquis, bringing the outside in.
- Understand new trends and technologies, including which emerging technologies can be harnessed for better results.
- Commercial delivery of digital products including benefits tracking and benefits realisation.
- Define and regularly update success metrics for the digital product portfolio.
- Best-in-class governance and risk management for Customer and Digital.
- Manage relationships with external partners and suppliers.
- Budget reporting and management of Customer and Digital budgets.
- Create engaging and long-lasting connections with business stakeholders up to and including the ExCo.
**Knowledge & Expertise**
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of digital product development, ideally leading a digital product function.
- Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge and experience of developing a digital vision, strategy and objectives embedded in customer insight and wider business objectives.
- Experience in developing the commercial and customer rationale for digital product development and realisation of business and customer outcomes that will allow Cards to differentiate from our competition.
- In depth knowledge and experience of implementing agile ways of working.
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge and experience of creating a best-in-class risk culture through implementation of rigorous governance and control environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrable experience in evaluating complex information and using sound judgement to make strategic decisions and recommend solutions for the bank.
**Key Relationships**
- Ability to identify, build and negotiate strategic internal and external relationships, including experience of managing and maintaining effective 3rd party partnerships and suppliers.
**Leadership Responsibilities**
- Sets a clear strategic vision and direction and leads complex multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
- Recruit, develop and coach colleagues to ensure the right level of capability, skills and engagement to maintain a high-performing team.
- Set clear objectives to drive individual performance to achieve delivery of functional goals that are aligned to strategic objectives.
- Lead cross functional teams to identify and implement change to help drive business performance and the customer experience.
- Champion an inclusive culture which promotes diversity and Blueprint behaviours.
