**Key Responsibilities**:

- Engage with NPI project teams to ensure Supply Chain activities are resourced and managed
- To ensure Suppliers are engaged at the appropriate stages of NPI development to optimise technology, cost and compliance.
- Ensure that NPI projects are supporting Commodity strategies to optimise cost.
- Prioritise, Scope and Deliver work transfer projects in support of commodity strategies and business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks in NPI program and Transfer projects in support of business deliverables.
- Manage key negotiations.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities to plan.
- Report all cost savings and price increases for your commodity.
- Manage source changes, working with the Head of Strategic Procurement.
- Define strategies on new programmes for your commodity area, supporting the IPT with enquiries, negotiations, quality plans, process control and implementation to cost and to plan.
- Monitor current supplier market conditions, make appropriate recommendations and implement to best effect.
- Work with other Commodity managers to ensure consistency of approach and best practice implementation.
- Act as appoint of escalation for the Supply Chain team on delivery, quality and technical issues as necessary.

**Key Skills**:

- Good understanding of supply chain management.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Ability and awareness to understand and contribute to technical aspects of commodity management.
- Engineering knowledge/exposure is a plus
- 3 years procurement experience in Aerospace / Automotive or Electrical industries
- IT skills - Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, Word and ERP systems (prior SAP use a distinct advantage)
