**Contract Type**:

- Permanent, full time hours 37.5hrs (Monday to Friday with requirement for on-call currently is 1 in 4 weeks)

**Salary Range** -Competitive (dependent upon skills and experience).

**Job Description
As a Senior 1 Cardiac Radiographer you will provide specialist clinical knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiac radiology investigations and deliver expert care for patients undergoing diagnosis and treatment in the Cardiac Catheter Lab Department.

The successful post holder will also provide administrative support to the Superintendent and Cardiac Catheter Lab Manager and assist in the efficient and effective management of technical resources, ensuring quality invasive and non-invasive service tocardiac patients.

**Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate highly developed knowledge and skills in a broad range of cardiology, radiology and interventional vascular investigations.
- Act as a resource within the Cardiac Radiography service to provide professional expertise in the environment of the Cardiac Catheter Lab Department.
- Perform a wide range of standard and complex procedures on adults and paediatrics, as requested by the clinician, in all areas of Cardiac and Vascular Radiography
- Perform all procedures at independent practitioner level and confidently support any clinical decision making on which the patient’s management is based.
- Prepare equipment ensuring daily checks are carried out on all radiology equipment used in the cardiology department, carrying out day to day troubleshooting.
- Participate in the departments out of hours on call rota.

**Skills & Experience
- BSc, DCR or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC registered
- Extensive postgraduate experience
- Experience in a Cath Lab required
- Experience in radiology useful
- Experience with the use of Philips and/or Siemens systems desirable
