Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) or Part Time (flexible)

Salary £21,314 pa, £10.90 per hour if casual working, sleep in rate of £50 per shift and great benefits

We’re looking for new colleagues to join our team to work across our Northumberland services covering holidays, long term sickness and supporting services when need increases.

You’ll spend time working in the below services, but don’t worryyou’ll have a pre-planned rota and set weekends off. We’ll cover your travel costs to and from the services from your nearest base and we work flexibly around your needs and location.
- Hallbank House, Hexham
- Edendale House, Blyth
- Northumberland STEP Service, South East and Central Northumberland
- Keele Drive, Cramlington
- CNTW Hospital Discharge Service, St Georges Park, Morpeth.

**About you**
- Confident caring for vulnerable adults, perhaps through work or private life.
- You’re energised and happy to get involved in supporting your customers to pursue their interests and hobbies and offering new opportunities and experiences they may enjoy.
- Strong communicator able to adapt your style and language to your audience
- **Have a transferrable Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service, or ok with us getting one done for you**.
- If you’ve used Makaton, Pecs or other adapted communication tools (including a squeaky duck) that would be the cherry on the cake

**About the job**
- You’ll be the real lynchpin and support us when one the teams need a spare hand. You’ll spend full shift in either of services.
- In Morpeth you’ll be with colleagues working mix of day shifts and occasional sleep in shifts.
- In Blyth you’ll work on a 121 shift lone working basis.
- We are a living wage foundation accredited employer and pay a fair wage _not _the governments minimum wage

- You start with 25 days of leave and bank holidays, and you get volunteer and me days too
- You’ll have a full induction and we’ll support you through your care certificate if you don’t have that already. We also make sure you have full ongoing support of the wider team and will have the chance to develop your career through our “grow our own” programme.
