We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Team at **North Berwick Sports Centre**.

**Purpose of the Job**
To ensure that the designated premise is regularly cleaned, maintained and secured to a high standard and to ensure that the facility is made accessible to all user groups in accordance with given instruction.

Opening and closing facility at instructed times to support lets as notified by the designated Sports Centre. Liaising with designated Sports Centre on programming and booking enquiries.

Inspecting facility at start and end of shift to maintain security and complete daily check sheet.

Cleaning all toilets, corridors, changing rooms, shower areas etc as well as furniture, fixtures and fittings to a high standard. Cleaning all kitchen/food preparation areas in line with current Food Hygiene Regulations where appropriate.

Carrying out indoor and outdoor facility maintenance procedures including litter clearing, dog poo picking, dust control, suction cleaning, damp mopping, scrubbing and carpet shampooing, where appropriate. Equipment will be provided.

Setting up and recovering sports equipment, indoor and out.

Removing rubbish to an allocated point for collection.

Carrying out activities in compliance with safe systems of work including due regard for Health & Safety Issues.

Complying with enjoyleisure training initiatives and procedures.

Ensuring high standards of customer care in line with enjoyleisure policy.

Reporting all requirements for repair or maintenance arising from wear and tear or damage.

Carrying out minor repairs to equipment such as football net hanging, etc.

Carrying out Health and Safety and Security checks such as fire alarm testing, recording of firefighting equipment inspections, etc.

Acting as key holder for the premise which may include emergency call out response.

Supervising and engaging with facility users, including ensuring that all booking times are adhered to and ensuring that the changing areas are allocated appropriately.

Managing and reporting any variations to agreed patterns of use and reporting statistics of use.

Patrolling the pitch and changing accommodation regularly to maintain a high level of security during public opening times.

Any other duties appropriate to the grading of the post.
Requirements for this Role

Desirable
Emergency First Aid Qualification (Training will be provided to achieve this).
Essential
Experience of setting up and cleaning sports equipment.
Experience of basic cleaning duties.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning methods.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Effective organisational and time management skills.
Health & Safety awareness
Ability to work on own initiative and aspart of a team.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable
Emergency First Aid Certificate.
Health and Safety training.

**Salary**:
£23,547.00 (pro-rata)

£12.21 per hour

Hours per week: Minimum guarantee 3.5.
Working days vary between backshifts and weekends on a fortnightly repeating rota, with additional overtime hours available.

**This is a Lone Working position.**
