An exciting new role has been created at Smile Together Dental CIC, working within our Operations and Commercial team, to support our continuing business growth and development.
Reporting to our Deputy Head of Operations and Commercial, this position will suit someone who has an excellent eye for detail and a demonstrable track record of working with performance data, supporting business development and growth.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Developing our internal business reporting framework to provide meaningful and comprehensive reports to the Smile Together Board, commissioners and colleagues
- Developing data capture and reporting packages that support our business development and growth strategy
- The opportunity to support major strategic projects and objectives
- Taking an active part in our Service Improvement Programme, supporting colleagues in delivering demonstrable changes and improvements to the patient journey throughout each of our services

**Key accountabilities**:
**Area of accountability: Committees and Meetings**
- Attend and participate fully in Finance and Performance meetings, Policy and Performance meetings, and other meetings as required, providing performance information to promote understanding of service delivery and/or progress against agreed KPI’s and to advise against the validity of such KPIs as the business grows
- Attend Quality Committee meetings, supporting the provision of accurate reporting information and providing data as requested
**Area of accountability: Performance and Business Information Provision**
- To support senior leaders in providing comprehensive performance information analysis across the business. This will include the monthly production of performance reports for Board, SLT and other committees as required
- Undertake analysis of complex, multi-sourced patient level data, transforming it into meaningful reports, supporting colleagues in understanding the results, and providing assurance around the quality and integrity of the source data. To summarise and interpret results as required with written analysis identifying and explaining trends and variations
- To design, develop and build reports that meet the specified operational needs, which may then be developed as required into business intelligence dashboard tools. To support colleagues in accessing and understanding this information. This will include attendance at monthly performance and other meetings as required
- To ensure performance reporting solutions are kept up to date to reflect changes to national guidance or other requirements, and to communicate this to all employees through either written or verbal updates
- To ensure technical patient-level and practice-level business planning (and other) data are transformed into meaningful reports, which include a variety of analytical methods to deliver the requirements
- To provide data, reporting and understanding to support and monitor progress against Smile Together’s defined quality improvement metrics, business resilience plan and strategic business development plans
- To be proficient with a variety of analytical tools that can be applied to impart concise, meaningful information to the organisation, in particular SQL and Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel. To be able to present results in a visual manner using the business dashboard reporting tools
