Harbex Metal Processing Ltd. is an expanding business based in Sheerness, Kent who process metal plate for the manufacturing & structural sector and distribute it on a national level.
We are looking for a reliable & organised full-time Sales Office Administrator for our busy office who will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring the team has adequate support to work efficiently and effectively.
The duties of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies and procedures
- Processing customers' enquires and sending preliminary responses
- Preparing purchase orders and customer order acknowledgements
- Answer incoming phone calls, deal with sales queries and orders, or transfer to the relevant person where necessary
- Maintain general office files, including customer records, databases and other files related to the company’s operations
- Gain a level of technical competence and understanding of the key functions of the company's services
- Flexible in their working abilities to be able to contribute to other relevant duties as required to support other staff members whenever necessary
- Filing orders once prepared
- Working closely with internal teams within our Warehouse and Processing departments.
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- Previous Sales Office Administration experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work using own initiative without supervision
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of how to handle confidential information
- Strong record keeping & organizational skills
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Ability to multi-task
- Positive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Keen team player with high level of dedication
This role would suit a background in construction or manufacturing, but not essential.
The position is available for immediate start.
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (inc. ½ hour lunchbreak)
- Holiday Allowance: 20 days p.a. + Public Holidays
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £23,400.00 per year
