Seven Social Care is looking for a Support Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of children and young people in Keighley.

**The role**:
To assess the needs of families with children of 0-5 years and to respond to families in need by offering support, advice and guidance appropriate to the situation and in the most appropriate setting

To develop and deliver a preventative service and to provide support to improve the quality of care both within and outside the family environment

To work with colleagues in the BD 5 CLUSTER of Children Centre's

To work alongside the Children and Family Centre multi-agency staff teams and other partners in the area to deliver a seamless service to the families

**Key Responsibilities**:
Undertake assessments of the particular needs of families with children of 0-5 years and develop proposals for work.

Develop awareness of the needs of young children, contribute to their emotional, psychological and physical needs and where appropriate enable individuals to understand, accept and change their personal situation.

Develop, maintain and support, individually or in conjunction with others, a wide range of services to meet the needs of young children and their families.

Provide information for parents about the Children and Family Centre services and respond effectively to the needs of parents and children.

Use the resources of the multi-agency Children and Family Centre team to respond effectively to the needs of parents and children.

Assist in the early identification of special needs.

Follow procedures laid down in the Children and Family Centre for reporting any allegations of child abuse.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above**:

- **Experience**:2+ years working in the UK.
- **Compliance**:Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
- **Hours**:37.5 hours p/w.
