Community Protection’s Parking Regulation and Compliance department are pleased to announce permanent positions within REACT (Regulation Enforcement And Compliance Team).

REACT are a multi-disciplined team of officers inclusive of an SCPO who work across the city in a peripatetic, dynamic and flexible manner, with a can do attitude, tackling inconsiderate and illegal parking issues, anti-social behaviour and environmental crime. The team is innovative in terms of developing skills which maximise service delivery, contributing to a safer and cleaner Nottingham. Acting as capable guardians and providing a uniformed reassuring presence to the city.

- Effective communication and listening skills
- Ability to work shifts and be flexible
- The confidence to tackle inappropriate behaviours
- The ability to work in a team, but equally under your own initiative
- The skills to deal with people from different religious, social backgrounds, ages and levels of education
- Good written skills and attention to detail
- An understanding of the confidential nature of your work - Ability to work out of doors in varying weather conditions on solo patrol as directed

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Appreciation of the legislation and skills necessary in using enforcement powers (issuing Penalty Notices for disorder and penalty notices for parking)
- Ability to keep manual and computerised records that may be produced in TPT or court proceedings
- Ability to challenge discriminatory and anti-social behaviour.
- Written communication skills to record and respond to actions and enquiries
- Driving Licence
