Technology Platform Lead

**Salary**: between £40,000 - £50,000

A bit about the job:
You will support the management of a large team of c. 90 technical specialists - both on and off-shore - who are either Aviva staff or employed by our services supplier's. You will provide oversight and governance on new, as well as ongoing work, ensuring that our project requirements are met, services are maintained and that our estate infrastructure is fit for purpose, is kept secure and is also kept within budget.

You will need to be able to manage multiple workstreams, alongside motivating and leading numerous developers successfully. The role will also allow you to work alongside a team of technical specialists, ensuring efficient solutions are built that meet our customer’s, as well as Marketing business, needs.
- Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our Norwich offices. (FYI - if Norwich isn’t your aligned office, there would be an expectation to travel here once or twice a month too)_

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Prior experience working in a scum master or technology, IT, project, or data management role, with excellent knowledge of optimally working alongside a third party, service supplier- Proven track record of managing large teams, preferably software professionals, motivating, and developing them, to ensure high performance- Well organised and self-motivated with very strong communication skills, including being able to influence and challenge collaborators up to Director level, to ensure IT solutions are appropriate- Ability to lead several strands of work concurrently, handling workstreams, priorities and critical issues while supporting 3rd party associates (both on and offshore)- Ability to work well during periods of change with experienced knowledge of future planning / resourcing, exercising a base knowledge of cloud technologies

What you’ll get for this role:
