The role:
You will be dealing with emergency 999 calls and the non-emergency 101 calls, logging all the relevant details.

The post holder will be required to work variable shifts. This is a 24-hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year business and further details on available shift patterns will be provided once shortlisted.

Although the post holder will not be required to travel around the county as part of their day-to-day role; they may occasionally need to travel between sites across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire to ensure business continuity, and to attend meetings or training.

What will I need ?

We are looking for staff who have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, along with diverse life experiences and resilience. You should be able to assess risk and control a situation in a calm logical manner. This is a very demanding role and is often performed under pressure, with a rewarding benefit of assisting & protecting the public in their time of need.

This is a challenging role that requires high levels of professionalism working within our code of Ethics, you will have the ability to work under pressure, whilst making logical and appropriate risk-based decisions.

You will be required to attend an intensive training course to provide you with the technical skills required to perform this role.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Police Vetting Procedure.

Starting salary: £32,990 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance) - rising to £35,650 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
