**Where and when do we need you?
Our Residential department are looking to recruit 2 peripatetic (multi-site) support workers to provide cover across our 4 residential children’s homes in the Solent area. This individual will work across multiple sites (2 main assigned locations per role)and will provide support to our services when they need it most. As part of our team, you will deliver the highest standards of care, protection and support to Children and Young People by facilitating their physical and psychological development.

As a multi-site support worker, you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:

- Contributing towards the maintenance of a positive, safe and homely environment, including the promotion of a warm and accepting atmosphere, where the safety and care of young people is paramount.
- Working with the Team Manager/Senior Residential Care Worker to ensure proper and appropriate nurturing for all young people with particular attention to the provision of primary care in matters of food, health, clothing and environment
- Supporting day to day parenting responsibilities, undertaking daily household responsibilities such as domestic chores, cooking, shopping, taking young people to appointments/meetings, planning out the day and participation in activities with the youngpeople and supporting in homework.
- Completing daily tasks consistent with the smooth running of the home, such as handover, case recording and updating care plans, risk assessments, ensuring all information is recorded appropriately and accurately.
- Managing your own workload effectively and working as part of a team, promoting a positive culture whilst having flexible approach to the task and resilience under pressure.
- Demonstrating effective communication skills, verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Advocate for young people and enabling them to advocate for themselves whilst ensuring you are reliable, enthusiastic, creative and honest.

- Previous experience of working with young people and/or adults with health/social care/educational needs
- A Level 3 qualification in childcare/social care
