At Teaching Personnel we are looking for experienced teaching assistants to support pupils in Early Years and lower KS1 on a full time basis. The Primary school you will be working with is based in Bury St Edmunds, more specifically the Mildenhall area.They are a close knit community school with a knowledgeable and experienced senior leadership team as well as a team of incredibly passionate educators.

This position is to start as soon as possible and will continue into the new academic year, it is Monday-Friday 8.30-15.30 during term time. If you are only available on a part time basis, we still want to hear from you

The role may consist of the following duties:

- Providing a professional, approachable and helpful assistance to the teacher
- Helping with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
- Guiding pupils with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
- Ensuring a safe environment for the child and other students within the classroom
- Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
- Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
- Working with small groups and 1:1

Requirements for the role
- Passionate about primary education
- SEN experience
- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis that can be referenced
- Safeguarding training
- A UK address and right to work
- Flexibility in terms of transportation
- Experience within early years
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
