Family Support Worker vacancy in the East Midlands.
Working in partnership with local authority children’s services across the UK, Innovate CYPS, is part of Sanctuary Personnel. Innovate Services work in partnership with local authorities across the UK to identify better, more efficient ways of delivering children’s social work, children’s residential, and foster carer services by externally supporting a council’s children’s services department.

**About the role**:
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide targeted support for families.
- Safeguard children and parents through continued assessment, planning and reviews.
- Engage and build professional relationships with children, parents, carers and professionals.
- Provide daily support and crisis management skills to children, parents, carers and professionals.
- Support parents to reach their full potential to enable them to care for their child/children.
- Be involved in parent-child activities that support healthy attachments and child development.
- Work collaboratively with community resources and advocate for Young People where necessary
**Requirements of the Family Support Worker**:
- Having a Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Diploma is desirable.
- Having experience working with children and their parents/carers is essential.
- Have a genuine desire to support others to improve their lives.
- Good Literacy and communication skills, including the ability to chair multi agency meetings and make good quality case recordings.
- Patience and empathy towards some of the issues and challenges are faced by families.
- Able to work flexibly, including bank holidays, evenings and weekends.
