Manufacturing Production Planner, newly created permanent vacancy for a well-established manufacturing client based in Swindon. This is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with an early finish on Friday. In return you will receivea competitive salary plus enhanced employee benefits package.
Ideally, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Planner, someone who has worked in the mechanical engineering sector, perhaps with a mechanical engineering education NVQ Level 3 or above. Reporting to the Production Director, you will workas part of a wider team, supporting a high-profile customer base with current and future orders, ensuring that from point of enquiry the product is both manufactured and available in line with the customer specification.
This role will require a collaborative approach, working alongside sales, purchasing, finance and manufacturing, providing total solutions across the wider business. Your verbal and written communication skills will evidence key stakeholder engagement, ensuringthat all parties are informed of progress and objective outcomes. Working with an in house MRP system, you will assess accuracy of product and costing, efficiency of manufacturing schedules and the timely execution of finished product for customer delivery.
As a Manufacturing Production Planner, you will have advanced working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Outlook and Excel, with proven MRP skills gained in a similar environment. Previous Root Cause Analysis experience gained in a manufacturing role would behighly beneficial, able to manage delays, facilitate reviews and provide the necessary explanation to all concerned.
Naturally you will be comfortable liaising with a wide range of UK supplier's customers and internal staff, in person, by telephone and in writing, able to produce reports and information for management meetings. For this role you will need a well-presentedand pleasant manner with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, able to work both alone, and/or as part of the team.
An understanding for the need to continually maintain confidentiality and discretion is key to this role.
