**Processing - Raw Dog Food Processing Operative**

**About the role**

You'll be working in our processing and packaging department turning high quality fresh raw British meat and other whole food ingredients into minced raw dog food. You’ll have a passion for producing high-quality products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

**What you’ll be doing**

The role involves working with a fantastic bunch of people, in a close-knit team, to produce award winning raw dog food. You’re comfortable handling raw meat, standing for long periods, lifting and carrying, cleaning and working in a chilled environment.
- Operate and maintain machinery used in the production process.
- Feed raw materials into production machinery.
- Monitor the production line, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform basic quality checks on products post-production.
- Pack finished products ensuring they are ready for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the production area.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

**About you**
- Physical fitness - The role involves manual work loading/unloading machinery
- Comfortable handling raw meat
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work quickly
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Reliable with an excellent work ethic
- Keen attention to detail
- Flexible attitude and a willingness to learn
- Driving licence and own transport (able to commute to Wetherby, LS23 7EG)
- A love of dogs, and want to be part of a growing team - As we grow, so do you.
- Right to work in the UK

Previous experience of the following would be desirable but full training will be provided.
- Food production line/commercial kitchen/butchery or abattoir experience
- Any experience of hygiene, HACCP, cleaning & record keeping procedures
- Experience/training on warehouse equipment, pallet trucks and stackers
- Meat processing experience
- Equipment maintenance
