Summary Cliveden is one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in the UK to work in and is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional gardener to join its established horticulture team.

**Hours**: 37.5 hrs per week

**Duration**:permanent

What it's like to work here Cliveden’s Italianate mansion, riverside setting and family-friendly events draw visitors all year round, making the property a busy location with a wide range of opportunities. There is always plenty to do at the 375-acre estate, with the replanting ofthe renowned hot herbaceous border among recent projects. Cliveden’s team is close-knit with a wonderful sense of community. The location is quiet, so you'll need your own transport to get here. There is the possibility of renting accommodation on-site.

What you'll be doing The role is varied and includes a range of practical horticultural tasks such as propagation, mowing our fine lawns, mulching, pruning, leaf clearing, weeding and formal and informal hedge cutting. As a hands-on gardener, you will?assist in making sure thatthe gardens are maintained to a high standard. You will be involved with the planting and maintenance of our stunning twice-yearly bedding displays as well as caring for the various trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants throughout the garden.

You will also support our?garden volunteers and interact with the public on a daily basis, answering?questions and helping set up events.

Who we're looking for To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

- Have proven practical gardening/horticulture experience, as well as a strong knowledge of plants;
- Trained as a professional gardener/horticulturalist, ideally to RHS Level 2 or equivalent;
- You’ll be passionate, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the?wide range of?plants at Cliveden; and
- Competence with machinery/equipment use and maintenance including pedestrian mowers and a range of 2-stroke garden machinery.
