Pirton Grange is a specialist residential setting providing care for around 38 service users with a range of disabilities and conditions including Huntington’s Disease.

**Purpose**:
The main purpose of your job is to be responsible for delivering & arranging activities for individuals living at Pirton Grange to provide a stimulating environment to meet their emotional, social, physical & intellectual needs. Ensuring the individual needs of those supported are met, providing opportunities for individuals to use their skills and enhance their quality of life, whilst maintaining their independence and privacy

As part of the Pirton team, you will lead on the provision of person-centred activities by identifying new and exciting opportunities, taking an holistic approach to improve outcomes for each resident.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and implement a consistent, sustainable, and inclusive programme of activities linked to residents’ interests as well as their emotional and physical wellbeing
- Actively research local resources and support community engagement and create links with outside organisations to promote and facilitate local amenities and communities
- Have knowledge and awareness of specific medical conditions in order to adapt and provide in-house group and 1:1 activities
- Carry out assessments of individual likes, dislikes, interests and skills with residents and their support systems to ensure meaningful activities provide that enhance wellbeing and skill development
- Encourage staff to support the simple power of doing everyday things with our service users that improve their quality of life and wellbeing
- Administrative duties including activity risk assessments
- Work with internal and external professionals to engage residents in meaningful activities
- Coordinate and chair resident meetings to see if individuals happy with activities on offer and use feedback to inform future activities program
- Work with management team to ensure activities program remains in budget and appropriately staffed whilst meeting or exceeding organisational expectations and standards
- Ensure the safeguarding of all individuals in our care by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting as required

**Skills and Experience Required**:
**Essential**:

- Good standard of Written and Spoken English and Numeracy skills
- Experience of coordinating events or activities
- Accurate record keeping
- Experience of working within confidential environments and maintaining confidentiality
- Experience of advocating for the best interests of individuals
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder skills
- Team player with a can do attitude

**Desirable**:

- Level 2/3 diploma in Health and Social care or Equivalent
- Willingness to provide direct support when required
