**Salary: £24,294 - £25,979 FTE (£21,083 - £22,546 pro rata)**

**We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Welfare and Safeguarding Assistant to join our experienced team here at Skegness Academy as soon as possible**

This is an exciting opportunity to offer administrative support to the Designated Safeguarding and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads to ensure the running of Safeguarding is efficient.
- Have responsibility for driving forwards good quality contact with families/carers of disadvantaged students to secure positive family support.
- Support with home visits when required to vulnerable students.
- Have accountability for producing accurate and detailed records for each student detailing their programme of mentoring, intervention, and parental contact. Ensuring this information is communicated to appropriate staff, mentors, and parent/carers.
- Act as a mentor for disadvantaged students as agreed with the DSL and Deputy DSL.
- Support the transition of disadvantaged students from KS2 to 3, KS3 to 4 and KS4 to 5.
- Undertake further duties commensurate with the grading and nature of the post.
- Be aware of the health and safety of all members of the school community and to deal with or report any areas of concern immediately.
- Contribute and adhere to the school improvement plans.
